Well I spent the majority of today limping around.  I was almost in too much pain to go shopping…imagine that! It took everything I had to put in the disk for fear that I might actually be unable to walk period, but I made a promise to stick with it and it’s gonna take more than a single day of agony to make this lady quit it’ll take at least 5. Sadly I was unable to find my workout clothing so back into the fleece pants I went.

Day 2 (as the reviews suggest) had a ton of leg exercises. I kept some of them, but in deference to my knees I got rid of the lunges, side, forward, backwards and anything else that had the word lunge in it.  I think I also got rid of the squats because I know I would have collapsed from them. They are where my leg pain has been coming from today. I was able to do the cross knee punches with only minimal twinging and the tennis was very easy.

Once again the track proved to require a bit of a work around. I was able to do the kickbacks and high knees ok, mostly because the game never has trouble recognizing my walking just when I am supposed to run. As usual I was forced to run around the room in order to get the “perfect” rating, but honestly I prefer moving to running in place (treadmill not withstanding) so it’s not so bad.

All in all Day 2 was not nearly the torture I heard it was going to be…perhaps that’s because I removed the lunges and squats.  On the other hand, if removing a few routines is going to allow me to actually complete the entire 30 Day Challenge, then I’m OK with that. I can always focus on leg and knee exercises once I can actually handle them ;)

On a side note…my 9 and 5 year olds are also trying out the Challenge. My 9 year old started today (5 still has yet to start). I can’t wait to see how long they last!
