Today was the first day that I have had to do real shopping with all 3 kids in tow, something I’m gonna have to get used to if I want to be able to buy food in the next 2 months!

5 stores in one day with a trip to Wendy’s in between.

Walgreens and Rite Aid:

I had the best time EVER at a Walgreens. Any issues were resolved and the cashier never gave me any flak, even with my 3 children running around and screaming at eachother during my 8 transactions. It should’ve been 9 but I took a chance on 2 Bayer Crystals in the hopes I wouldn’t have to make each one a single transaction…turns out I did and it cost me a $2.50 RR I could have earned.  Live and learn…One of the Dry Ideas is from Rite Aid.

Total Spent OOP: NOTHING! all $19.26 was off of a GC.
Total Saved: $117.12!
PLUS $21 in RR!

At Rite Aid I spent $4.51 from a GC on the only product that was available of all the other 4 I had gone to buy. I saved $2 and will get a $5 SCR back.

Safeway:

Among the other regular and store based coupons I was able to use, they were also kind enough to allow me to use a free 1lb of strawberries coupon for a 2lb package of strawberries (their 1lb supply was limited and no good)

Total Spent OOP: $19.25
Total Saved: $48.74 or 73%

Target:

Smooth sailing until it came time to price match.  As usual we ran into problems. I have official confirmation now that they will accept price matching for any store that doesn’t require membership (for us this means Safeway, King Soopers, Costco and Sam’s Club). In the end I got my yogurt price match to go through and earned a whopping $1.02 in cash for my trouble ;)

Total Spent:$11.60
Total Saved: $15.67 plus $1.02

Walmart:

Not a single hold up, used (among others) 4 buy one Ritz get one Wheat Thins and a BOGO Wheat Thins Artisan, not one thing failed to be accepted.

Total Spent: $28.11
Total Saved: $20.40 this does not include the price matches that I took advantage of.

Total Spent At All Stores: $58.96 not including the $23.77 from the GCs

Total Saved over all: $212.42 plus an additional $21 WG RRs and $5 RA SCRs

That’s a 260% Savings!

And all this with 3 rambunctious children in tow! It’s rather confidence inspiring.
